The purpose of NACC-ACS is to educate students regarding chemistry through the community college setting. The American Chemical Society was founded in 1876 and chartered by the U.S. Congress. Additionally, ACS is one of the world’s largest scientific organizations with more than 155,000 members in 150 countries. Therefore, our mission reflects that of ACS, the advancement of the broader chemistry enterprise, and its practitioners for the benefit of Earth and its people. Our vision also mirrors that of ACS: to improve people’s lives through the transforming power of chemistry. Faculty Sponsor: Dr. Scott Byrum, Math, Science, and Engineering Technology Building.
