HED 226: WELLNESS
Credits 3This course provides health-related education to those individuals seeking advancement in personal wellness. Major emphasis is on the nine dimensions (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social environmental, occupational, financial, and cultural) of wellness and how they all play a part in the overall wellness of an individual.
HED 230: SAFETY AND FIRST AID
Credits 3This course provides instruction to the immediate, temporary care which should be given to the victims of accidents and sudden illness. It also includes standards and advance requirements of the American Red Cross, and/or American Heart Association. CPR and AED training is also included. A 2-year BLS card can be obtained for a small fee.
HED 232: Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries
Credits 3This course provides a study of specific athletic injuries, their treatment, and preventive measures.
